Chandra Babu Naidu's 100-Day Plan

Taking potshots at 10-year-Congress rule, including YSR regime, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has kicked off 100-day plan for resurrecting development of new State. Dubbing Congress rule of mismanagement, misgovernance, Naidu alleged that previous governments "destroyed" all government institutions by indulging in "corrupt" practices. Naidu blamed the Congress government's attitude for shift of many IT companies to other states. Also, due to mismanagement of the power sector, many industries had closed down due to lack of power supply.

Chandra Babu has now chalked out a 100-day plan to keep the new Andhra Pradesh on track. He said that his government would made everything public by releasing white papers (Swetha Patrams) on six issues: human resources, infrastructure, irrigation, power, finance and Andhra Pradesh' bifurcation.

Babu set a time frame. He said the white papers would be released soon after the first Assembly session that is scheduled from June 19. After taking public opinion, the government would prepare its first Budget, he added. In between, the constituted committee on farm-loan waiver, is expected to submit its report with norms, regulations and thus making way to Babu to implement his key poll-promise of loan-waiver within 100 days of assuming office. Meanwhile, Naidu's surprise pack for government employees by approving the increase in retirement age from 58 years to 60 got thumbs up from all quarters.
