Reputed All India Institute of Medical Sciences is all set to be set up in the new State of Andhra Pradesh. State Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas has corroborated the news and the hunt for the land for this institute is going on briskly. According to minister, a team of authorities have visited two crucial places -one in Mangalagiri and other in Vijayawada. Minister said that a Central committee will soon be coming to the State and minister said that it is going to take a final call in finalizing the place for AIIMs.
Kamineni added, "We're just going to allot the land. They'll spend about Rs 1200 Crores for building the high-end hospital, medical institute and going to take care of the annual maintenance of it." While AIIMS is in New Delhi and another renowned institute JIPMER is located in Pondicherry, Seemandhra is going to have one such top institute. Given that most of the national rankers in Medicine hail from Andhra Pradesh, this move by State and Central government would further boost the local students to work hard to achieve more marks, ranks in competitive test.
