The KCR Government plans to weed out 22 lakh allegedly bogus and excess rations cards including 7 lakh white and 15 lakh pink in the state to streamline adequate supply of kerosene, free rice and other essential commodities to the lower income groups and the needy poor at affordable prices.
The Chief Minister Sri. K. Chandrasekhar Rao who reviewed the civil supplies department activities with specific reference to ration cards today at secretariat said new ration cards will be issued as for 83.59 lakh house holds in state there were 91 lakh cards issued by the Congress govt.
