New HighWay for AP - Gadkari

National Highway and Rural Development Minister Nitish Gadkari has announced that BJP Government has approved for New Highway for Andhra Pradesh. As per Gadkari, New Highway would be 500 KMs distance and request the AP Government for the proposals.

Gadkari left the decision to construct New Highway to AP Government. Gadkari announced this after AP Chief Minister CBN met him. Gadkari also responded for CBN proposal to extend NH-5 from existing 6 lines to 8 lines. In 1998, Vajpayee led BJP Government extended NH-5 to Six lane roads. NH-5 extension and interlinking roads to 13 coastal ports helps the state drastically.

Reportedly, Nitish Gadkari expressed that his ministry would consider all proposals that were send by AP government without any rejection. CBN has also planned to construct International Airport within a year between Guntur and Vijayawada.

He urged Union Minister Ashok Gajapathy Raju to clear all pending proposals for the extension of Gannavaram Airport. AP Government will able to build Runway within a year after getting all permissions.
