Did Sekhar dent his image?

It looks like new-age filmmaker Sekhar Kammula has dented his image by doing a suspense saga 'Anamika' since this genre doesn't suit his sensibilities and risked his career.

Sekhar rose to fame by exploring the mindsets of young students, their goals and predicaments and also their love life in films like 'Happy Days' and 'Life is Beautiful', but he couldn't handle the tale of a housewife, who struggles to find her lost husband, with the same zeal.

Although, its remake of Bollywood hit movie 'Kahaani', but bearded director couldn't sustain interest and the film gets bored as it revolves a lodge, street and police station and makes it repetitive and claustrophobic. He deserves credit for extracting good performance from Nayanatara and others, but he shouldn't taken it up? Putting his fans following at dilemma?
