Kamalanathan Committee’s shocker to Telangana?

The C R Kamalanathan committee which has been created to allocate state government employees to the two states of AP and Telangana has reportedly decided not to meddle with any appointments which are made against the Presidential Order, which is expected to trigger a controversy.

The committee will reportedly finalize its guidelines for distribution on June 30 and seek objections from employees before forwarding it to Centre for approval. After the approval is secured, the staff distribution process is expected to be wrapped up by March 2015. The Kamalanathan committee has reportedly taken a decision not distribute employees recruited in the open category on the basis of merit as it may invite legal wrangles.

At the same the committee has also reportedly decided not to alter nativity rules as demanded by some TRS leaders and will be only following the service registers of employees to establish their nativity. Though TRS leaders are reportedly demanding that different aspects be taken into account to decide on employees’ nativity, the committee is reportedly not in a mood to accept the same because experts feel it would lead to bigger problems when it starts dividing 54,000 employees who need to be divided between the two states.
