Operation Akarsha: TDP is the Winner & Loser

Operation Akarsh is the Buzz word in political circles and from few months we are frequently hearing about this.It was the one of the scheme introduced by Late YSR along with his populist schemes. Now it turned as nightmare for some parties in the state and Congress was suffering a lot with this.YSRCP also facing problems with operation Akarsh in Andhra Pradesh state. But one party in the state is getting positive as well as negative effects with the scheme and it is none other than ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh.

Its known fact that some of Rival party MLCs gradually started moving towards the TDP for the last few days In Andhra Pradesh. In a significant development that will improve the Telugu Desam's strength in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council, eight Congress MLCs crossed over to the ruling party recently. With their entry, the TDP will not only enjoy majority in the Council but may also wrest the Chairman's post. Though it has a full majority in the AP Legislative Assembly, TDP has only seven members in the 50-member divided Legislative Council.

As per the sources, the party is luring some MLCs from other parties with the intention of taking up the post of Chairman of Legislative Council. Contrary to that TDP is getting Goosebumps in Telangana region and the exodus was started from the party. In a major setback to party some of the leaders shifting their loyalists to TRS. Today two of the MLC’s joined TRS in presence of KCR. Welcoming the leaders into his party, KCR said many more leaders from other parties including the TDP will be joining the TRS.

The statement from TRS chief hints the proceedings in near future. It’s more or less fact that TDP has unleashed Operation Akarsha in AP and succeeded in luring some party leaders to their kitty but it was backfired in telangana. So it was the winner and at the same time Loser too….
