Andhra bags ‘Hero Motors’?

The famous Hero company, a leading motor vehicles manufacturer has recently announced that it is looking for an ideal place in South India to establish a brand new factory. This would mean ample employment opportunities for the youth here.
Immediately sources say that several states got into the act and including Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.  As expected, Naidu was reportedly one-step ahead and offered many facilities near Sri City SEZ at Sathyavedu which is at Nellore-Chittoor district and Tamil Nadu trijunction. The company has reportedly chosen Sri City as the likely destination and if not somewhere close to Bangalore in AP’s Ananthapur district as it feels that a location in Rayalaseema can help it transport new vehicles to AP, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
If this is officially confirmed, then it may be a big boost for employment and industries in Rayalaseema region of AP. So far, Tamilnadu has been dominating the automobile sector as many big companies have set up their plants there. Maybe now things will move towards Andhra Pradesh.
