With new state of Andhra Pradesh is all set to have its first Assembly session on June 19 in Hyderabad, many political leaders, observers, activists, people are eagerly anticipating to witness some crucial moments. And the one most-anticipating is to see the arch rivals both Chandra Babu Naidu and Jagan Mohan Reddy on one platform, addressing each other, and yes, facing each other.
Although Jagan Reddy is putting up a brave face and trying to pose as if he has overcomed a crushing defeat, his sulking face is visible and evident that all is not well with Jagan. Especially, the fact that people have bluntly rejected to send his own mother-YSR Congress Party honourary president YS Vijayamma to Lok Sabha, Jagan seems to be not to digest this. His absence to Babu's swearing-in ceremony despite personal invitation through telephone says that all. Though Jagan tried his best to cover it up by alleging it as "expensive event", TDP gave fitting reply that the event was grand success in sending a notice to Central leaders over the economic situation of AP and termed that "every Rupee spent on it has value" and "give its fruits in near future".
Apart from people of Seemandhra, even people of Telangana too curious to see the 'Face-to-Face' of Babu and Jagan, how they're going to greet each other. Will Jagan convey his congratulations to Babu even in Legislative Assembly? Though Jagan treats Naidu as a rival, Chandra Babu still has some soft corner that "Jagan is son of his late close friend YS Rajasekhar Reddy" and that is the one reason Naidu had personally invited Jagan to swearing-in but Jagain turned down sending wrong signals. Now, the ball is in Jagan's court. How does he play a role of Opposition leader for a state that is going through economic slump? How does Jagan play constructive role in developing new state of AP? All these need to be seen. So, hold your horses till this Thursday.
