Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, who is sulking for not being inducted into Babu cabinet is apparently offered the Assembly Speaker post, it is reliably learnt. Its known that Kodela expressed his displeasure over the ‘ham-handed’ treatment meted out to him. Other legislator Kaluva Srinivas name was considering for Deputy Speaker post.
He representing from Rayadurg constituency in Anantapur district . Though Srinivasulu contested from Rayadurgam against formidable YSR Congress rival candidate Kapu Ramachandra Reddy, he managed to win the seat. Since the CM and council chairman A. Chakrapani belong to Rayalaseema, Chandrababu thought of giving give the Speaker’s post to the coastal region.
Reliable sources also claimed that Kodela was convinced by Babu to accept the Speaker’s post.Kodela is the party's backbone in Guntur district and served as home minister in the NTR cabinet.After two defeats, he is entering the Assembly of residuary Andhra Pradesh this time.Kodela is facing competition from his counterpart and one more prominent leader Dhoollipalla Narendra.
One more prominent leader from babu community Butchaiah Chodhary may be made the State Planning Board vice-chairman, the post he had held during N T Rama Rao’s tenure.
