Hyderabad to be Wi-Fi Enabled City

Hyderabad is soon going to became a WiFi enabled city if the indications given by Telangana's Information Technology Minister K T Rama Rao have to be believed.

Apparently, Few of the reputed firms have been coming forward to provide 4-G services to make Hyderabad a WiFi enabled city. KTR brought this matter to the notice of CM KCR during the review meeting on Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) policy. The new IT Minister even suggested the Chief Minister to establish an Institute of Innovation for training Engineering Students to help them compete with Global standards.

KCR's Government is treating 'ITIR', the prestigious project sanctioned by Government of India' as the economic backbone of Telangana and this project will extend the IT Hub to Pocharam and Many Other Areas. In Sep last year, Centre has given approval for this 202 sq km ITIR which has got an investment potential of Rs 2.19 lakh crore. This Mega Project is expected to create 15 lakh jobs.

As of now, 90% of revenue from IT Sector has been coming from Hyderabad alone with a turnover of Rs 62,293 crore making it the second largest IT exporting city in the country.
