Jagan: I will not leave Telangana

After four years of Jagan's visit was halted by stone-throwing Telangana activists, this time he had a warm welcome by the people of Telangana. YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had campaigned in Mahbubabad in Warangal district. The YSRCP chief was arrested on May 28 in 2010, at Vangapalli railway station on his way to Mahbubabad for his Odarpu Yatra, and the situation became violent.

Surprisingly, massive crowds welcomed him warmly this time. Jagan told them that he was happy to be in the Warangal. Jagan said the YSRCP would implement all welfare schemes listed in its Telangana manifesto . YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy said that though he will soon become the CM of Seemandhra, he will not neglect Telangana.

“Very soon I will be taking over as Chief Minister of Seemandhra, but it does not mean that this state will be neglected. YSR is in the hearts of all Telugu people and I assure you that all welfare schemes named in the manifesto will be implemented in Telangana as well,” he said. The YSRCP president said, “Five years after YSR’s death still he is remembered by the people as his welfare schemes had touched every section of society and he did not impose any fresh taxes or increase any fares.”

As against this, he said, “We have seen the dark age of Chandrababu Naidu who did not care for farmers, students, women and his policies were anti-people. Pensions and housing were meagre and were carried out on quota system limiting the number of beneficiaries. He ignored poll promises and increased the price of rice from Rs 2 kg rice to Rs 5.25, lifted prohibition and encouraged belt shops. He is in the habit of forgetting poll promises after elections. Even now he is coming with promises aplenty,” Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
