In view of General Elections in Telangana on April 30th, Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal declared that restrictions have been imposed on electronic and print media from 4 pm on Monday to 6 pm on Wednesday. A ban will be in effect on opinion polls and exit polls for the next 48 hours. Already, EC booked 6 channels for telecasting the campaign related stuff after 4 pm on Monday.
Bhanwar Lal made it clear all the government & private offices, business establishments have to be shut down on April 30th. Even Liquor Shops will be closed from Monday evening to Wednesday evening. He warned the organizations and the people who dare to violate the model code of conduct to be ready for facing arrest.
Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements to increase the polling percentage in both the new states. Notably, AP is much ahead of other states in South India when it comes to the first time voters. Wish the same positivity reflects on the polling day as well...!
