Former Congress MLA from Paravada, Visakhapatnam and YSR Congress Pendurthi Assembly candidate Gandi Babji reportedly threatened voters of Ambedkar Colony to kill if he is not voted. Ambedkar Colony residents have formally lodged complaint with Returning Officer (RO) of Election Commission.
According to residents of Ambedkar Colony reisdents, Gandi Babji has approached them to vote for him. When they asked him to promise on providing basic necessities to their colony, Babji orally agreed to it but refused to give it on return. However, Babji threatened Ambedkar colony residents to kill and cut power connection, drinking water connection to the area if he is not voted.
An eye-witness shared the trauma with a news channel, "Our colony lacks basic facilities for a while. When we asked YSR Congress candidate Gandi Babji to promise us, he threatened us with dire consequences claiming that he is going to become MLA for the constituency. He warned us to vote for him else he said he will kill us and even cut power connection and drinking water pipeline to our area."
This is not first time that Gandi Babji is in news for wrong reasons. He was earlier booked for threatening TDP candidate.
