Ex Health Minister Galla Arunakumari, who also held R&B ministry, is all set to retire from politics, according to highly reliable sources. 64-year-old Aruna Kumari lost to YSRCP candidate Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy in Chandragiri constituency in the recently held Assembly elections. Chevireddy got a majority of over 6000 votes on Galla, taking everyone by surprise.
Buzz is that Galla was initially reluctant to contest polls this time as well, but on compulsion from TDP top brass, she is said to be in fray. Galla Aruna and her family focused more on Guntur Lok Sabha seat from where her son Galla Jayadev was fielded. Jayadev won from Guntur Lok Sabha with a thumping majority. After drubbing in polls, Galla Aruna has apparently shared with her close aides that she want to "retire" from politics. Will Galla Aruna quits politics?
