AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal Arrested

In yet another major twist to the political scenario in the country, Aam Admi Party's chief and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is arrested by Delhi police today. As Kejriwal declined to furnish bail-bond of Rs 10,000, Court ordered to arrest him and he is sent to two days judicial custody.

Earlier on January 31st Arvind Kejriwal released the list of most corrupted persons in India and that included former BJP Chief Nitin Gadkari's name too. Citing Kejriwal's list as baseless, false, scandalous and defamatory that lowered his dignity, Gadkari filed a defamation suit. Though Kejriwal would have walked free, he refused to take a bail as he feels that there is no wrong in what he has done. 'I'm fighting against corruption. I've done nothing wrong, so I'll not seek bail', Kejriwal said. Court asked Kejriwal to behave like a an Aam Admi (Common man) as he happens to be chief of AAP.
