No doubt, TDP has performed exceptionally well in recently held general elections and all set to form government in Seemandhra. Yet few things have not worked in their favour. Especially, the result in Gudiwada assembly segment is daunting TDP cadres in Krishna district. Although TDP bagged 10 assembly seats and its alliance partner BJP (Kaikaluru) got 1 and restricted YSRCP to just 5, Krishna district TDP leaders are grumbling over the party's defeat in Gudiwada.
Going into the details, Gudiwada is the one segment which caught the attention of whole State as former TDP MLA Kodali Nani, who was trusted protege of Jr NTR, jumped into YSR Congress taking everyone by surprise. He later challenged TDP leaders to defeat him in his constituency and even indulged in verbal spat on star leaders like Balakrishna.
In fact, Jr NTR strongly lobbied for Kodali Nani and got him a seat from TDP in 2009 elections. Later Nani gave big jolt by joining rival party. The irony is NTR has not even condemned Nani's act and this drew flak from TDP cadres. Since then, NTR has been distanced himself with party although maintaining that he supports TDP. As of now, TDP is unable to digest Kodali Nani's victory in Gudiwada. That's the story folks!
