Will KCR Find New Friends?

"I'll be Chief Minister of Telangana and should work close with our neighbourhood Telugu states CM," said KCR soon after the conclusion of elections in Seemandhra, Telangana. Promoting himself as good friend of YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, the TRS boss ridiculed TDP and Babu to the hilt by comparing Babu to street dog. KCR qouted this famous proverb, "Dhobhi Ka Kutta, Na Ghar Ka, Na Ghat ka". KCR vent out his anger on Babu even after the polls concluded and said, "TDP is a gone case now. Take my word, " he claimed. However, soon after the results, KCR did a big volte-face and now congratulated Naidu through media. On prodding, KCR simply admitted that his survey of Seemandhra was wrong.

Keeping all these things aside, the big question now is with whom K Chandrasekhar Rao is going to do friendship? Probably there will be no use for KCR or Telangana state if their CM continues friendship with opposition leader of neighbourhood Seemandhra state. A CM should join hands with the opposite CM in order to bring perks or settle disputes. And with Chandrababu Naidu going to become the first Chief Minister of residuary AP state post bifurcation, and back into power after 10 years of political exile, he will be too adamant over issues. So, will KCR get a chance to do friendship with Naidu?

Even if KCR is willing to extend his hand, maybe for the kind of verbatim he shot at, the experienced TDP Chief might not join hands with him personally but may hold talks in the interest of both Telugu-speaking states. That is why they elders told us to choose our words carefully. Let's wait and see.
