Soon after the conclusion of Assembly and Lok Sabha polls in Andhra Pradesh (Seemandhra), YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy has predicted that the outcome would be "Keratam" (Wave). And the results of Locab Body polls and Parishad polls held a month before general elections and considered as quarter final and semi final respectively seem to be projecting different picture altogether. There is a Keratam (Wave) in Seemandhra but it is TDP's wave contray to claims of Jagan.
TDP has swept 9 districts of Seemandhra (Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Chittoor and Anantapur) in Local Body polls, Parishad polls and gave a stiff competition in Kurnool and shown its effect in Nellore, Prakasam. Kadapa is the only one district, YSR Congress has its fold while there is an edge for Jagan in Nellore, Kurnool and Prakasam. Out of 7 Corporations, TDP has got 5 corporations in Civic polls whereas YSRCP got just two. Out of 13 ZPPs, TDP has won in 9 whereas YSRCP limited to 4. TDP bagged more number of Municipalities, MPTCs on whole compared to beleaguered YSRCP. Contrary to reports, TDP remarkably shown its presence in Telangana too by bagging Khammam ZPP and going to be a key player in Medak, Rangareddy and Warangal.
With this, TDP-BJP combine's dashing victory in Assembly and Lok Sabha polls seems to be a cakewalk, predict political analysts. It's high time Jagan should reconcile his over-confidence, head-weight attitude and high-handedness.
