Move away Robot and Vikramasimha, now top director Rajamouli who made films with budgets ranging between 35 to 45 crores, is all set a new benchmark in t-own with 'first' 100 crore film Bahubaali and raise the bar on T-town cinema.
Initially, Rajamouli was thinking of making his magnum opus in the budget of 60 crores but later on, he decided to cash in on his growing popularity in Kollywood and Bollywood and reportedly expanded the budget as he shooting Tamil and Hindi versions too, since his semi-historic epic revolves around two warring prince (Prabhas and Rana) and a aged queen.(Ramya Krishna). As he began to consider Hindi version, director even spoke to B-town divas, Sridevi and Sushmita but later settled for Ramya.
Apart from setting a benchmark with purulent sets, two bulky warriors and war-driven scenes, ace director is going to become fhe first Telugu director to make a 100 crore film, next only to Tamil director Shankar. Will Rajamouli pass this litmus test and create another record and its worth betting huge money on Prabhas and Rana, who are not as big as stars like Mahesh Babu, Pawan and Ram charan or Rajamouli's brand is enough to recover the budget?
