The D-day has finally arrived. The 13 districts of the residual Andhra Pradesh is all set for both Assembly elections and Lok Sabha elections Today (May 7, 2014). As many as 3.68 crore voters of Seema Andhra are set to face the first election after the crucial state bifurcation. Chandra Babu Naidu and YS Jagan face-off in the election as both their parties claiming majority in the 175 seats state Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha.
Polling have already started and the YSRCP CM candidate YS Jagan Mohan reddy casted his vote in Pulivendula.By carrying his father’s legacy Jagan is contesting as MLA from Pulivendula and he along with his relative Avinash Reddy exercised their franchise.Jagan wife Bharathi also casted her vote and she came along with Sharmila.After casting the vote they addressed media and expressed confidence that YSRCP will win more than 150 seats in Seemandhra.
The elections are critical for the state, which gets formally truncated on June 2, as much as for the main political parties that are engaged in a no-holds-barred fight to clinch power with the promise of re-writing the fortunes of everyone.
