With Narendra Modi clocking a thumping victory in the recently held general elections 2014 and setting a record by carrying off the party on his own shoulders to a record 283 seats, 8 more seats than the required half-way mark of 272 in 543 member house, all focus has been shifted to Gujarat, his home turf. Naturally, the next big question is who will be stepping into the shoes of Modi and assume the office of Gujarat. Already, BJP has started its hunt for the next CM.
BJP Legislature Party will be meeting on May 21 to decide on the next coarse of action and the successor to PM designate Modi. Going by buzz, Anandiben Patel, present revenue minister and Modi's trusted protege, is front-runner for the Gujarat CM post while three others too are in race. As of now, suspense continues. Meanwhile, Modi is all set to take over the Delhi reigns and busy preparing his cabinet list.
