Where Jagan has gone Wrong?

Well, we're very much aware of the fact that Assembly polls and Lok Sabha polls in Seemandhra are yet to be out. But we believe that the opinion of both Urban, Rural voters in local body elections reflect the mood of people more or less in Assembly, Lok Sabha polls. Hence, we're bringing up an interesting and calculated analysis: Why Jagan Mohan Reddy is wrong in his calculations, Where Jagan went wrong and Why he can not be the Chief Minister.

The results of Civic Body polls (Municipal polls and Corporation polls) and Parishad polls (MPTC, ZPTC), released on May 12, 13, have come as a big shock to Jagan, YSR Congress and bolt out of the blue to many leading media houses. TDP's wave across 9 districts of Seemandhra (Srikakulam to Anantapur) is conspicuous whereas there is a stiff competition between TDP and YSRCP in Nellore, Prakasam and Kurnool though Jagan has an edge there. Touted to be Jagan's fort, Kadapa, too has shown its inclination towards TDP in Municipal polls by bagging 4 out of 7 Municipalities in the district. However, the only blessing in disguise for YSR Congress is in MPTC, ZPTC polls in Kadapa and bagging Kadpa, Nellore Corporations.

Now, the big question on every one's lips, including many media giants, is "WHAT WENT WRONG for JAGN?" Here is the Simple logic: There is a massive uproar, anguish against Congress in Seemandhra which no one can't deny and it is visible with the results of local bodies. Many have believed TDP as principal opposition and as an alternative to Congress. Considering TDP's past record and fact that TDP was sprouted only to beat Congress and TDP has been fighting against Congress since day one, people have chosen TDP. Chandra Babu's experience and confidence on his administration have come in handy for the party. TDP's good-will among higher Middle-class, lower middle-class is one of the other factors which worked brilliantly and heavy voter turn out, Chandra Babu-Modi-Pawan Kalyan wave too predict better results in Assembly, Lok Sabha polls for TDP.

Coming to YSR Congress, majority people have seen it as Congress' offspring (Pilla Congress) and no doubt, undercurrent there is a doubt among people that YSRCP may join hands with Congress post elections in Seemandhra. Ever since his father's demise, Jagan's desperate attempts to be CM has not gone well with majority people. Jagan has hardly raised his voice against price rise, many anti-public decisions taken by Congress. Heavy banking on Rajasekhar Reddy's charisma too backfired for Jagan. The stumbling block for Jagan is none other than massive corrupt charges against him.

Jagan, Sharmila and YSR Congress have targeted Chandra Babu, TDP more rather than focusing on ensuring development to new state. Jagan's hate campaign against Chandra Babu worked in favour TDP. Jagan's widely publicized high-handedness, head-weight, arrogant attitude, rude behavious on senior politicians, lack of strong second-leadership in the party. Above all, Jagan Mohan Reddy' over-confidence is what might have marred his chances to become the CM. A senior political observer quoted, "Karnudi Chavuki Enni Karanalu Vunnayo, Jagan Ki Raboye Votami ki Anni Karanalu Vunnayi." (Jagan's upcoming failure has as many reasons as Karna's death).
