After facing back to back defeats in 2004 and 2009 at last YSR Congress spokesperson and veteran heroine Roja has won from Nagiri Constituency as MLA. She defeats Telugudesam senior leader Gali Muddukrishnam Naidu. According to sources she won with less majority against the TDP strong man.
Political observers say that Roja has won basically on sentiment basis as she lost elections two times consecutively. Thanks to the sympathy wave in favor of Roja who got defeated in the last two General Elections by a big margin. Roja is carrying the iron leg tag in politics and once again she proves the assumption.
Though she won as MLA her party has to sit in the Opposition for the next 5 Years TDP win was confirmed and already party workers celebrating this. In the initial rounds, it was neck and neck fight between TDP-BJP and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in majority of the 13 districts of Seemandhra but subsequently the alliance raced ahead.
