Priyanka Chopra recently hosted a shradh pooja in the memory of her late father Dr Ashok Chopra, who passed away 11 months ago just before Priyanka departed for Barcelona to shoot for Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming film, Dil Dhadakne Do. The film also stars Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah.
The Fashion actor personally invited family and her father’s closest friends for the pooja followed by a bhog. The pooja, that was a quiet affair started at 11 in the morning and it was also attended by members of the NGO that PeeCee works for.
We hear that Ms Chopra will board a cruise for Dil Dhadakne Do, accompanied by mother Madhu Chopra in a few days. However she will return for 2 days to spend time with her family on her father’s first death anniversary.
Well, it’s indeed quite touching to witness Priyanka’s quiet, and solitary mourning for her beloved father.
