Anantapuram police have today confined Paritala Sriram, son of Rapthadu Assembly candidate Paritala Sunita, in their home at Venkatapuram in Anantapur district on the eve of polling. Paritala Sriram arrested by cops as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incidents. .
Sriram is at his house in Venkatapuram and the cops have got strict orders not to release him till the elections are completed. From the other end, the police have also detained a Telugu Desam Party leader Deepak Reddy at their residence at Rayadurgam in Anantapur district.
Other side YSR Congress activists and TDP candidates have been resorting to attacks all over the Seemandhra on the polling day. There is even bloodshed in few parts of Rayalseema. YSRC Activists attacked ETV, Andhrajyothi media persons at Rangareddypalem in Narsaraopet Mandal, Guntur.
YSRC activists pelted stones on TDP Candidate Putta Sudhakar in Vedururu of Chapadu mandal. YCP Cadre attacked Jammalamadugu TDP Candidate Ramasubba Reddy.
In one more incident TDP rebel candidate from Guntur (East) assembly constituency Allah Baksh was attacked by some unknown persons on Tuesday. He was seriously injured in the incident.The culprits attacked him from back and Allah Baksh was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital.
