Indian National Congress (INC) has shown its worst ever performance in the general election 2014 and it recorded its all time low by bagging just 44 seats out of 543 Lok Sabha constituencies giving way to Narendra Modi-led NDA who scored thumping victory with 335 (BJP alone got 283 seats). For the first time, to sit in Opposition, a party has to form an alliance. Usually, parties tie up with partners to form government.
Here comes a joke circulating on social platform: "Forget about White Tigers, Save the Congress- only 44 left!". Meanwhile, Congress Working Committee (CWC) met yesterday evening in New Delhi to find "heads" to blame.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi reportedly offered to step down taking up the "responsibility" for the defeat. However, as expected CWC turned down their resignation. "Don't we know that it is all drama! RIP Congress!" commented a youth on his Facebook account.
