Vijayamma to lose at Vizag?

Yes, according to political pundits the wife of former CM Dr YSR who is contesting for MP on YCP at Vizag might succumb to the urban voters’ favor for the TDP-BJP combine.

Even the YCP cadres are expressing confidence about Vijayamma’s cakewalk win from the prestigious Vizag constituency but going by the Municipal and the MPTC ZPTC poll result trends, Vijayamma’s win is a big doubt now let alone a cakewalk win.

And here are the reasons that support our statement. In all there are about 10.3 lakh votes polled in the Visakkapatnam Parliament constituency.

While the YSR Congress Party has been strongly pinning its hopes on the rural segment votes to sail through, it is learnt that more votes were polled from the urban segments including areas Gajuwaka, Vizag South, Vizag East and West, S Kota, and Bheemili. The Modi wave has played a strong influence on the urban educated voters encompassing the aforesaid urban segments, so more votes would have gone from these areas in favor of the TDP-BJP combine.

As for Vijayamma in order to claim a victory here she shouldn’t be getting anything under 5.8 lakh votes and here comes the YCP confidence. There are 5.5 Lakh Rural votes in the constituency for the party to bank upon, and the party is also expecting to get the TDP split votes too. But that’s only a chance, and the BJP cadres at Vizag are expecting that their candidate will easily sail through the Vizag with a clear majority!
